About me

My name is Alexander Jusits.

I am a master confectioner and was born here in the 17th district of Vienna on March 17, 1989.

Even when I was in kindergarten, I loved to bake with my grandma. Even at elementary school age, to the astonishment of my teachers, I was already very fond of preparing desserts. At some point it was obvious: I want to become a confectioner.

In 2004 I started my apprenticeship as a confectioner at Manner and completed it in 2007 with good results. In 2010, with the help of the spiritual support of my then-apprentice, I passed my exam to become a master confectioner, a title I have now been proud to bear for more than ten years.

My life’s journey led me to dive deeper into the professional world, and so I stopped at the following places, among others:

At Cafe Central as Demi Chef Patissier
in the Vienna Rathauskeller as head patissier
in the K.u.K. Hofzuckerbäckerei Demel as production manager and deputy managing director
at the Parkhotel Schönbrunn as Chef Patissier

But there has always been the little pastry chef on my shoulder, dreaming of his own little pastry shop.

Inspired by the family

MY way to the king

While the world was somehow crumbling more and more in the wake of the Corona pandemic, the urge to transform the negative energy of the environment into something new ignited in me. I decided to give the little pastry chef on my shoulder the opportunity to finally give shape to his dream of self-employment. I would be lying if I said it was the perfect time. But with the active support of my entire family, I managed to make this dream come true.

Long live King!

Why actually king? Here comes a bit of nostalgia now.

Since I owe my love of baking to my grandma, I decided to use her birth name as the company and brand name. So that they and also their name can not be forgotten.

However, the stressful everyday life may and should be forgotten. Because our confectionery offers a beautiful quiet guest garden with lots of greenery to forget the world around a bit.

Likewise, we want to put the focus back on spending time with family and friends, whether it’s with handmade products like cakes, chocolates, chocolate, rolls, specialty coffees or even a delicious brunch together.
